Welcome to the State of Ohio Poll Worker Training Program

Dear Poll Worker,

Thank you for volunteering to serve your community as a Poll Worker on Election Day. I appreciate the commitment you have made to faithfully conduct the election process by which we choose our leaders of government. As you know, you are on the frontlines of this important process, and without your time and efforts we could not hold our elections as we do.

This program is intended to help you and your fellow Poll Workers achieve an efficient and successful Election Day both for you and the voters. It will teach you how to be a knowledgeable and responsive Poll Worker. In addition, this training will provide you with the information you need to perform various tasks at the polls, such as completing the necessary Election Day forms and meeting challenges that arise throughout an Election Day.

In this course you will be taught the following:

• The roles and responsibilities of being a Poll Worker.
• The roles, responsibilities and processes involved in running an Election.
• The roles, responsibilities and processes associated with the Electronic Voting Unit.
• The roles and responsibilities associated with assisting voters with various needs.
